Dogs are man's best friend—but they are also, perhaps first and foremost, other dogs' best friends.
This was evident in a heartwarming TikTok video posted by Glyn (@glynis_leigh) that captured her worried Great Dane puppy fretting over his blanket-covered Doberman sibling, who appeared motionless. Throughout the clip, Glyn provided her Great Dane with reassuring narration—but he remained persistent. Glyn spoke to Newsweek about how the video, which reached over 120,000 viewers, showcases the two pups' personalities.
In the video, the concerned Great Dane nudges his brother, unconvinced by Glyn's gentle assurances. "He's OK. He's just sleeping. Look, he's still breathing," she says repeatedly. Despite her words, though, her dog persisted—with his protectiveness and curiosity on full display.

"My Great Dane puppy was really worried about my Doberman, who was under a blanket sleeping. He didn't believe he was actually asleep and had to make sure he was still breathing," she said. "It was such a sweet and funny moment to watch."
The Great Dane, the youngest of her three dogs, is naturally protective, she said.
"I felt both amused and touched seeing how concerned my Great Dane was," Glyn said. "He's so curious and protective by nature...He's the gentle worrier, always checking on everyone."
On the other hand, the Doberman, Zeus, lives up to his laid-back personality.
"Zeus loves to sleep under blankets and is completely unbothered," Glyn shared. "He's the middle child and very calm by nature."
The video definitely resonated with viewers—many of whom shared similar stories about their pets in the comments section: "My Great Dane cannot stand it when my other dog is covered in a blanket!" another person wrote. "She is like, 'I MUST SEE MY SISTER AT ALL TIMES!'"
It seems that the Doberman habit of heavy sleeping, in particular, reaches far and wide: "Dobermans are for the women who like to sleep," one person wrote. "Mine is a crazy mix, but the Doberman in him says he's a snuggle bug and just needs sleep." To this, Glyn responded: "He really is the biggest snuggler and loves sleep. My kind of guy."
"Doesn't he know you don't mess with Dobies when they are covered?" another user wrote. "The amount of time it takes for they to get covered the 'right' way is not worth it!"
Glyn's video highlights the quirks and individual personalities of dogs living in a multi-pet household: "It's such a perfect reflection of who they are," she said.
"[The Great Dane] getting all up on [Zeus] to make sure he's still exhaling," one viewer tenderly observed. "What a sweet brother."
