A bride-to-be was left in tears after a trial run of her wedding makeup didn't quite live up to her expectations.
Cora Lopp had her trial with a makeup artist just 17 days before tying the knot, but she was less than impressed with the look created and was left searching for a new MUA.
Lopp had provided an inspiration picture to help the original artist understand her vision, and shared to TikTok a comparison of the image and the look she left the trial with. The video has gone viral, gaining over 2.9 million views and 250,000 likes since it was shared on May 6.
The clip's on-screen text, shared to the account @cora.lopp, reads, "POV: You have your trial for your wedding makeup and it turns out horrible," while in the audio she says, "I'm literally crying."
Newsweek reached out to Lopp for comment.
In the video's caption, she confirmed the stress the appointment had added to her wedding plans, leaving her worried about how she'd look. She wrote, "My wedding is in 17 days, and I have to find a new makeup artist."
The inspiration picture showed a stunning, soft look that would pair perfectly with a white dress. It featured pearly finishes and soft pink tones on the eyes, lips, and cheeks for a clean-girl glam.
Unfortunately for Lopp, the final result was unblended eye shadow, heavy lashes and liner, and little effort put into smoothing out fine lines. Some viewers of the video also mentioned how the MUA also overfilled the brows.
Viewers were shocked by the makeup professional's poor artistry, as one simply shared, "This is why I'm doing my own makeup."
