'Sad' Face of Dog Boarded in Kennels Whose Family Never Returned for Him

A kennel in the United Kingdom housed a dog for his family but he is now searching for a new home after they never returned for him. Meet Frank, the rottweiler mix who is located at Hilbrae Rescue Kennels in Cold Hatton, Telford. Now, Frank will have to start all over again in a new and unfamiliar environment. A March 19 TikTok video shows Frank boarded at the kennel. Even with the person coming over to give him attention, his eyes seem to appear full of sadness. He wouldn't make eye contact with the person. Frank's story was shared on TikTok by user @shropshirek9. This dog care professional company helps connect shelter dogs to forever families. The team commented on the March 19 TikTok video, stating that Frank was scheduled to be put down at the boarding kennel, but luckily, he was moved to the stray rescue kennels.

Frank's lucky streak is, thankfully, continuing. The Shropshire Canine team told Newsweek via TikTok that Frank is getting adopted and will be at his new home on Friday. He'll hopefully never have to experience that heartache again. Nothing but love, snuggles, and endless treats from here on out.

Too Many Others Like Frank

While Frank gets his happy ending tomorrow, his story is just one of many heartbreaking stories that dogs face daily and Shropshire Canine is just one of many teams focused on connecting animals to their forever home. "There are lots [of dogs] with sad stories at the moment," the Shropshire Canine team said." One dog Shropshire Canine shared about, who also gained public attention after being shared by TV personality Vicky Pattison, is Buster. The 5-year-old staffy has lived at the Birch Hill Rescue for three years. Another long-term resident is Rosie. She is located at Grinshill Animal Rescue where she has been for over seven years. Shropshire Canine has shared both Buster and Rosie's stories to help each rescue and connect them with their forever homes. There are about 2.7 million animals that enter U.K. animal shelters each year. About 1.2 million of those animals are cats, followed by nearly 664,000 dogs, and 184,000 other animals.

'Break My Heart'

As of Thursday, the TikTok video about Frank had over 76,500 views and 5,325 likes. Frank's story has touched and shattered people's hearts. "Omg, how can people do this? Would they just abandon their child? Dogs don't deserve us I tell you," asked a viewer. A second user wrote: "This is one of the hardest parts of rescue. They always wait for their owners even when they have suffered absolute abuse, they always look for them." "These stories break my heart," said another.
