Owner Hears His Dachshund Crying In Bathroom—Can't Believe What He Finds

Some owners need eyes at the back of their heads to look after their furry friends, like this owner who found his dachshund in a pickle. A video of Bill, the dog, has racked up over 13 million views on Instagram. He appears to have backed his way into the leg of a pair of denim jeans. However, getting out isn't so easy. His owner Matt Dornic, who lives in Los Angeles, California, can be heard asking: "Bill what did you do? Are you stuck?" The video, captioned: "Save the #dachshunds: bring back bootcut," has amassed over 428,000 likes. It's clear the jeans aren't a skinny fit as Bill is extremely snug and he can barely look at his owner. Some users have commented to state how they think Bill is feeling. "He's very embarrassed," said one person. Another said: "He is sorry and he's scared." "THE DRAMATIC SHAKING," said a third comment. It turns out Bill isn't the only curious canine as another user has revealed the exact same thing happened to her dachshund. To watch the video posted by @mdornic, click here. It's not uncommon for owners to dress their dogs these days, especially small breeds like Bill. Typically, the dog will have their own wardrobe and will not try to borrow their owner's clothes, as Bill did. Dressing a dog isn't as simple as you may think, there are guidelines that should be followed, according to the American Kennel Club (AKC).
  1. Avoid toxic ingredients like glitter.
  2. Do not dress your dog when it's hot outside as they may overheat.
  3. Understand when your dog has had enough and ditch the costume when needed.
  4. The safety and comfort of your dog should always take precedence over your fashion sense.
  5. Avoid things that are too tight and/or may be irritating.
  6. Never leave your dog unattended while clothes.
  7. Avoid choking hazards like buttons or gemstones.
  8. Keep things simple.

It's important to "only dress up your pet if you're sure they're comfortable and not stressed while wearing their outfit," according to the Animal Humane Society. Like humans, all dogs are different and some may sway towards clothing more than others. Previously, Newsweek shared an article about a dog who was dressed to impress at her owner's wedding. At Christmas, one dog's reaction left the internet in hysterics as he clearly wasn't a fan of his festive sweater and another dog has been forced to wear his owner's clothes as punishment for stealing them. Newsweek reached out to @mdornic for comment via Instagram. We could not verify the details of the case. Do you have funny and adorable videos or pictures of your pet you want to share?
