A family from Tennessee shared a video of their new puppies enjoying their very first car ride, and internet users can't cope with their heart-warming reaction to it.
The viral clip, shared on TikTok on Thursday under the username @thegermanpawsquad, shows the three puppies, two German shepherds named Bear and Willow, and a Rottweiler, Bubba, sitting at the back of the car as their owner drives them around.
Curious about this new experience, the pups can be seen looking around themselves, tilting their heads as if trying to make sense of what is happening.
"As if one puppy in the backseat wasn't enough. We wanted three," read the layover text in the clip, as the caption explains: "First car ride for all three."
The poster, Amber McKinnon, told Newsweek that they are the sweetest little puppies, and her life has definitely changed since their arrival.
"There's less sleep, no downtime, and our whole day-to-day revolves around them now. But honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way. They are the happiest dogs you will ever meet! They are super energetic, love to get into everything and are curious about the world!" she said.
She explained that after losing their two dogs just two months apart last year, their house felt way too quiet, and they had to do something about it.
"So, naturally, we decided to fill the silence with pure chaos by bringing home three puppies all the same age!"
Most dogs, regardless or their age get excited when they know they're getting in a vehicle to go somewhere, but what it is that our pups love about riding in cars?
Georgia-based veterinarian Dr. Jess Kirk Says in a Vet Explains Pets article that dogs enjoy moving vehicles so much because of the sense of adventure and excitement that comes with, which in effect engages their senses in a different way.
They also love the sense of freedom they have while in the car, where they don't have to be restrained by a leash and harness and can easily move around to explore and roam.
Often dogs also associate car rides with positive experiences, like going to the park or to the beach.
