Man Lets Brother Walk His Dog 'One Time,' Then Checks Doorbell Cam

A man from Canada who let his brother walk his dog won't be doing that again in a hurry. Marco, the owner of Brody, a bichon poodle, was running late for work when he asked his brother Michael to take the dog for a quick walk. It seemed like a simple favor, until Marco later checked the footage from his Ring doorbell camera.

The footage, which Marco posted on TikTok (@flannystoys), shows Michael stepping out of the house with Brody but unbeknownst to him, he hadn't properly secured the dog's coat. As soon as they were off the stairs, Brody's coat slipped off completely and Michael just continued down the driveway, dragging the coat behind him on the leash. "He didn't realize until he was at the end of the road. When he realized, he thought he lost the dog," Marco told Newsweek. From afar, viewers can see Michael spin around in panic, fearing the worst, shouting "Brody!" Meanwhile, a completely unbothered Brody remained by the front steps, watching the chaos unfold. According to Marco, this was a first for Brody. "He never does that... and he didn't even wiggle out of it, the coat was just not on properly." The text overlay read: "The one time I let my brother walk my dog." The clip, which Marco simply captioned: "help," has been viewed 8.9 million times and received almost 2 million likes. Thousands of viewers commented on the clip, many of whom found the whole thing hilarious. Some were also impressed at how Brody remained right where he was. "The way he calls out like the dog ran away," one user laughed. "No but why did it take him 3-5 business days to notice he was dragging a harness," another wrote. A third commenter said: "Doggo knew he was safer right where he stayed." Marco later told Newsweek that his brother "doesn't usually pay great attention to detail," but his kind nature may have been why he decided to help him out in the first place. Michael is also very funny and loves hockey, he added. Speaking about the reaction online, Marco was "so surprised" at how many views and likes it received. One user asked whether his brother should be allowed out on his own. Marco replied simply, "Nooo!" Do you have funny and adorable videos or pictures you want to share?
