A woman was brought to tears after spotting the "saddest" item at a thrift store honoring a person's late pets.
TikTok user @knipfing.thrifting often posts about her finds while thrifting at different stores, but one item in particular stopped her in her tracks. She found a large frame with three sections within it that held a picture, a poem and collar tags. Upon further inspection, she realized the frame was a tribute to a person's two dogs.
She teared up at the thought of someone's tribute to the dogs had ended up at a thrift store, especially since the item was listed for only $2.99. She knew deep down that item was worth way more. It was a priceless memory, a keepsake for the owner who she believed was likely not around anymore.
Wanting to share the precious item, she snapped a few photos and posted them to a December 10 TikTok video. The picture on the left side of the frame was a painting of the two dogs, Barney and Buford. To the right was a poem with the title "All I need to know about life I learned from my dog." And finally, the dogs' two tags with their names printed were framed.
The tribute was enough to know that Barney and Buford were more than loved—they were members of this family and now, thanks to the beautiful frame, their legacy will live forever.

"For a dog owner to love those dogs so much and to want to keep their memories alive was really lovely."
Then the waterworks started when it finally dawned on her: "I felt sad knowing that the dogs as well as the dogs' owner was probably no longer with us."
She couldn't stop thinking about the item and returned a few days later to buy it, however, the item was already snatched up, she said.
"I have major regrets about not buying it when I first saw it," she said.

Looking at the positive of the situation, someone wrote: "Stuff like that doesn't make me sad, I assume everyone who loved them are now with them. And it just shows you an example of love."
