Man Surprises Swiftie Fiancé With Easter Eggs in Their Engagement Photos

A Taylor Swift fan has delighted the internet after revealing the adorable easter eggs her fiancé suggested for their engagement photos, and even Swift would be proud. Amanda Bilbrey shared a video on TikTok (@amandaxbilbrey) of the moment her fiancé, Aaron (AJ) Goranson suggested that he could change the time on his watch to 10:10 ahead of their engagement photos, as that's also the date of their wedding. Bilbrey, 24, of Twin Cities, Minnesota, loved the subtlety as it reminded her of a Taylor Swift easter egg, telling Newsweek that she's been "a diehard Swiftie" since the singer's debut album in 2006. Goranson, 26, is also a fan of her music, but perhaps not quite as invested as his future-wife. "I thought it was so cute when he suggested changing the time on his watch. He claims he wasn't directly referencing Taylor, but I made the assumption because in my eyes, she invented easter egging," Bilbrey said. "AJ was not previously a Swiftie, and he probably wouldn't consider himself one now because he knows that means more than just making a statement. But he is a huge fan of her music and supports my love for her."

Swift has mastered the art of subtle easter eggs in her lyrics and music videos which reference her personal life and her upcoming work. Back in the old days of having to buy CDs to listen to music, she would often use the liner notes to convey messages to her fans by capitalizing letters that spelled words and phrases. The singer's fans are no fools, and they picked up on her quirks and love her even more for it. Over time, those hidden hints have turned into masterful communication tactics that devoted Swifties avidly search for. They range from a sign reading "Lover" in the music video for "ME!", which was the name of her upcoming album, to the clock hands pointing at 1 and 3 in the background of her "Cardigan" music video to signify her favorite number: 13. Or who could forget the countless snake references in her Reputation era, a response to the singer's feud with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. The reality star called Swift a snake on Twitter, and rather than shying away from it, Swift owned the villain persona instead. Honestly, this could go on and on because Swifties are constantly uncovering more hidden gems with just about everything she does. She certainly doesn't miss an opportunity to drop more clues.

How Did TikTok React?

After Bilbrey overcame the amazement at her partner's easter egg suggestion, she shared the video on TikTok and it went viral. In just a matter of days, the video has amassed 1.2 million views and more than 255,100 likes so far. Alongside the clip, she joked: "golden retriever future husband + T Swift = Swiftie husband." The online reaction has been overwhelmingly positive, and while they hadn't planned any easter eggs for their wedding, Bilbrey is now considering adding some in. She told Newsweek: "Everyone thinks he is the best. While I agree, people are acting like he gave me a kidney. I think us women need to have higher standards." With over 350 comments on the viral video already, TikTok users have praised Goranson taking a leaf out of Swift's book with his creativity. One comment reads: "this might be the cutest thing a man has done and i can't explain why." Another person wrote: "u won life bestie." A third TikTok user added: "This is adorable! You picked the right one." Do you have funny and adorable videos that you want to share? We want to see the best ones! Send them in to life@newsweek.com and they could appear on our site.
