Camila Cabello Posts Hilarious Response To Her 'Quismois' Meme

Camila Cabello is the latest to poke fun at herself after her performance of "I'll Be Home For Christmas" at last year's In Performance at The White House resurfaced and sparked a meme for how she pronounced "Christmas." Many listeners said it sounded as if Cabello was singing "quismois," and some suggested she was singing in "cursive" because of her pronunciation. The performance inspired viewers to share their best rendition of Cabello's performance. For example, TikTok user @talzofficial posted a video of singing the verse as a "normal pop singer" before singing it once again, mimicking how Cabello sang the song. Another TikTok user, @readyfredi, posted a video in which he sang "quismois" in other popular Christmas songs, like "Last Christmas" and "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas."

Cabello even joined the fun and uploaded a video to social media on Monday night that has been viewed about 10 million times across TikTok and Twitter. "Me before recording my version of I'll be home for christmas (quismois)," read the caption of the video. Playing the roles of herself and a singing coach, Cabello filmed a skit about practicing enunciation and phrasing. "Yeah, so I hear you're recording a new Christmas cover, that's really exciting," Cabello said as the singing coach. "OK, so we're just going to practice some phrasing." She began singing the now-viral verse, enunciating the word "Christmas." The "singing coach" then encouraged Cabello to sing the verse. Cabello sang the verse back, though she pronounced "Christmas" as "quismois." The coach stopped her and asked that she speak the line back, focusing on saying "home for Christmas." Cabello parroted the line once again, but rather than saying "Christmas," she said "quismois." The two went back and forth between the two pronunciations before the singing coach seemingly gave up. "It's going to be great," the coach said with a tight smile before the video concluded. Viewers applauded Cabello for putting her own spin on the viral meme, and many dubbed her the "Queen of Quismois." "That's a queen move," a viewer wrote. "Merry Quismois yall." "We love 'I'll be home for christmas' cursive version," another viewer wrote. "Love when celebrities respond/add to a meme of themselves," one TikTok user wrote "We love a self aware queen," a comment read. Celebrities tend to go viral for a number of different reasons. Influencer B. Simone was trending on Twitter after she revealed that she occasionally skips a shower, while Heidi Klum's worm costume for Halloween went viral. Another popular trend that called for people to share their embarrassing moments prompted celebrities to jump in and share their own.
